The Advice Pages is a website, newsletter and IG account that aims to give you helpful advice and thoughtful insights from experts and our own experience, to help you make decisions and live more stress free – on the topics of Work Life, Relationships and Wellbeing.
The Advice Pages are a labor of love, the brain child of three women at different life stages (Hailey who has a live-in relationship and Caitlin, who is married with a new baby and Lucy, who is “older and wise” with grown kids, a husband and a long career in media and was Editor-inChief of Self magazine.

We each have different experiences to offer, and as a veteran of the working world, Lucy is often asked her advice from people at every age and stage who believe that good old fashioned advice is hard to come by. (Want to set u a session? DM me!)
Why is advice so important? Friends and family won’t always tell you what you need to hear, such as dump the cheating bastard, or yes you may get fired but think of it as an opportunity to go get a job that is a better fit and insires you more! Also: no, living in a dingy five story walk up with no doorman is not a great idea for a young single woman like yourself, so spend a little more and find a safer apartment.
It’s not all dire and doomsday! We also have advised: Yes, go for that new job, launch your new business venture, believe in yourself! If not now, when? We tell it like it is, and we don’t hold back. but as three work friends and colleagues, we are willing to give your the best advice we can, based on our life experiences in the areas of work, relationships and wellbeing.
One lovely moment just happened when Lucy showed up at a birthday drinks and an acquaintance beamed at her and said:
“This site resonates with me more than any other site has in years. As I read it, I think: ‘Yes, that’s me. And that too!’ Because I feel it. What you’re doing really connects. It’s not like anything else out there!!”

Keep in mind that the advice in these pages is meant to provoke thought and also provide affirmation. Your decisions are your own. We just want to provide another point of view, a helpful voice — and support! We don’t always agree with one another, and we don’t have all the answers, but we are willing to share insights from our own lives, as well as interview experts, in order to bring you the most authentic, helpful and actionable advice we can find.
Experts? Did someone say experts? We got em! As a reporter and editor, Lucy knowns when to hold ’em and when to fold ’em, and in this case that means when to give you direct advice and when to go outside our circle for trusted advice from researchers and therapists, executives and fitness trainers and nutritionists. These folks know what they are talking about.
In the Wellbeing arena that means hearing from MDs, RDs, Certified Trainers, Level II Coaches, and athletes. In the area of Relationships that includes shrinks, Licensed Therapists, and even Matchmakers! (We love the advice two matchmakers had to share about dating, including don’t judge a date by their resume!) In the realm of Work Life we talk to Career Coaches, C-suite executives, founders, investors, plus younger folks just starting out (about nailing that interview) and others with helpful insights to share.
We cover the most pressing topics from the areas of our lives that keep us up at night: Work, relationships and wellbeing. And we share personal stories and anecdotes from our lives and curated advice we can find from around the content universe,, to help you make smarter decisions and live happier, calmer, and less stressed every day. This advice is meant to inspire, inform and empower you. Please let us know what you think, and whether we are being helpful! We hope so!
